Policies, Returns & Bookings
As a self-employed author, every book purchase, booking and enrolment helps support my work. I genuinely appreciate your support and always aim to be fair and reasonable. The information below is intended to provide clarity before you purchase a book, join a course, book a workshop, or enquire about an event, so you know exactly what to expect.
If you have any questions before making a purchase or booking, please get in touch.
-
I want you to be happy with your purchase.
Many of the books and merchandise items available through my website are from limited stock supplied to me by my publisher or are small quantities held specifically for my author work. Once these items have sold, they may not be available again.
Because stock availability is limited, exchanges or swaps are not possible. Please take care when placing your order and check that you have selected the correct item before completing your purchase.
If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or there is an issue with your order, please contact me within 14 days of receiving it and I will do my best to resolve the problem.
For change-of-mind returns, please contact me within 14 days of receiving your order. Items must be returned unused and in their original condition. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Signed copies are prepared especially for readers and may include a personal signature. These cannot be exchanged or returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
-
Places on workshops are limited and require planning, preparation and time set aside specifically for participants.
If you need to cancel a workshop booking, please contact me as soon as possible. Refunds, transfers to another workshop date, or alternative arrangements may be considered depending on the notice given and whether your place can be filled.
If I need to cancel or reschedule a workshop, you will be offered either a transfer to a new date or a refund.
-
Places on online courses are limited and require preparation, planning and dedicated time.
If you need to cancel your place, please contact me as soon as possible. Refunds or transfers to a future course date may be considered depending on the notice given and whether your place can be filled.
Once an online course has started, fees are non-refundable unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Any course materials provided are for your personal use only and must not be copied, shared, reproduced or redistributed.
-
I provide talks and author events for universities, libraries, bookshops and other organisations.
Talk fees vary depending on the type of event, location, preparation required and any additional arrangements needed. Full details, including fees, practical requirements and cancellation terms, will be agreed in writing before an event is confirmed.
If circumstances require a change to a talk or event, I will always aim to provide as much notice as possible and work with the organiser to find a suitable alternative.
-
Mentorship places are limited and involve dedicated time, preparation and personalised support.
Before booking, full details of the programme, what is included and any relevant terms will be provided.
Once a mentorship programme has started, fees are non-refundable unless there are exceptional circumstances.
-
I understand that circumstances can change. If you need to discuss a cancellation, transfer or change to a booking, please contact me as soon as possible.
I will always aim to be fair and reasonable while also recognising that places, preparation time and resources may already have been committed.
-
All written materials, course content, workshop resources and mentorship materials remain my intellectual property and are provided for personal use only unless otherwise agreed.
Please do not copy, share, reproduce or redistribute any materials provided as part of a course, workshop or mentorship programme.
